A Walk from Conwy 2016

Walk Leader: Jennifer Matthias
Walk Distance: 10 mls app
Total Ascent?descent: 2100ft app

'A' Route anticlockwise
We had a glorious day for the recce, the sun was shining, it was warm and clear. The trees were putting on an amazing Autumn show. If the 12th is anything like it you are in for a treat.

We leave the coach probably searching for toilets! (The information centre has them at 20p a time.) Then set off for Conwy mountain, if we are in good weather we may see rock climbing as we reach for the top. The views all around are great. Look out for the Orme, the Estuary and the Castle.

Traversing the top we descend towards Capelulo around the side of Alltwen before taking the road past The Fairy Glen Pub where surprise, toilets! Climbing again towards Foel Lus along  a farm  track. We continue to Ty'n-y-ffrith turning South to join the North Wales Path again going in a SE direction over a ford and footbridge before heading NE towards the Sychnant Pass. The path we then take passes a lake before meeting a minor road which we cross to pick up paths over fields to the edge of Conwy and our return.

What more could you ask for mountains, sea, rivers, lakes and views? The weather to enjoy it all.
