There are no stiles on this walk - but - there is quite a
bit of 'up'! After coffee we start off
with a little flat road walking, then we turn off the road and head up to
Castlehead viewpoint. Down from Castlehead another short section of road before
the quite long, but gradual, ascent ( with as many stops as you like! ) until
we reach the Great Wood. What goes up must come down, so we descend through the
wood to the lakeside where we will have a late lunch. From here we return to Keswick more or less
by the side of the lake.
