'B' Walk from Keswick

Walk Leader: Jennifer Mathias
Total Distance: 8 miles
Total Ascent/Descent: 1300ft app

Route Map anticlockwise
Latrigg our destination for today
We are leaving Keswick in a North Easterly direction to go passed Fitz Park across the
A66 on the Cumbria Way. Then we are going to climb to the top of Latrigg 1,203ft, our
ascent is 950ft. Wainwright says ʻLatrigg is to Keswick what Loughrigg is to Ambleside
and Helm Crag to Grasmere: a small hill, an excellent viewpoint, a great favourite with
local folk and visitors.ʼ It is a steady climb with a few short steeper sections but there are
many photo opportunities on the way and panoramic views at the top. Well worth the walk
uphill!

Over the top we start downwards to a path that goes NNW, through a car park for those of
to Skiddaw, then continuing back down the path we climbed we take a path across the
fields towards Ormanthwaite and so pick up the Allerdale Ramble back into Keswick.
We will have plenty of time to make a leisurely ascent, then a ramble with time also to

explore Keswick.

Theese stones mean something?
