Starting from the car park in Elterwater a short walk takes us to the Maple Tree Cafe for coffee etc....
The walk is a mixture of pasture, woodland and riverside scenery against the backdrop of the Langdale Pikes, passing waterfalls and the lake of Elterwater. The route is quite involved with two steepish areas which we will take SLOWLY. The walk is mainly on good paths with a few stiles, but mainly kissing gates
