The walk is 5½ miles and takes in two popular beauty spots,Friar' Crag and Castlehead.
A
combination of lake-shore,field and woodland paths that give superb views over
Keswick. Derwent water and Bassenthwaite makes a most interesting,attractive
and varied walk without much climbing.
After
having coffee at Booths (adjacent to the car park)we will make our way through the gardens down to the lake-shore
and the landing stages.
Anyone not
wishing to do the full walk can accompany us for coffee and down to the landing
stage where boat trips are available.
