'C' Walk from Church Stretton 2018

Walk Leader: John Adamson
Total Distance:  4.5-5 miles app
Total ascent/Descent:650-850ft

The C Walk starts with a coffee and cake in one of the local tea shops in Church Stretton.  We leave the village of Church Stretton and walk north and then west into Cardingmill Valley.  We climb out of the valley; walk over to Cwmdale Valley, and onto All Stretton.  The path continues across fields, 4 styles, a railway line and the A49.  We climb up through fields with views over Caer Caradoc Hill, across 4 more styles and back over the A49, the railway line and into Church Stretton.  It is a very scenic walk but there are some ascents, descents, and about 7 styles to cross.  By taking our time the walk should not be a problem for a C Walker.

However people who have difficulty going up and down hills may want to create a D Walk by leaving us near the National Trust tea shop in Cardingmill Valley and enjoying the short walks by the stream in that area, returning to Church Stretton by the same route as the outward journey.
