This walk is a repeat of one we did a
few years ago but this time we do it in reverse. We start with a short climb up
to the Monsal Trail which we then follow on level ground for about 3 miles. We
stop for our lunch at an old railway station and shortly afterwards leave the
Monsal Trail and head through fields down and up to Ashford in the Water. Here
there is an opportunity to have an ice-cream before we head alongside the river
back to Bakewell.
