We start with coffee in Glenridding then we follow Glenridding Beck upstream keeping the beck on our right After passsing a camp site we head off up towards Greenside mine Helvellyn and Mires Beck, but don’t worry our route does not include Helvellyn you’ll be pleased to know, but there are short ascents which we will take slowly. After passing an old disused Lead Mine we will carry on towards Kepple Cove. Retracing our steps to our sunny lunch stop(hopefully) near the mine and overlooking Ullswater and the Beck. The path descends the other side of the beck to rejoin the main path back to the village for a well earned cup of cheer. There is a short add on we could do going down to the lakeside and along the path to the pier and back to the village.
THE LOOS IN THE CAR PARK COST 20p FOR MALE AND FEMALE so we suggest the C party use the cafe loos. Hope you enjoy the day . Joan and Shirley
